2nd Pumpkin Patch Visit!

Due to a variety of reasons, we had to squeeze most of our patch visits into a week.  We visited our second patch last week. Hudson is like his mommy and loves him a pumpkin patch…Harper – not so much. At least, not THIS one.

It is very clear that Hudson has a boo boo on his head – there is a long story that goes along with it. I thought about writing it out, but really I just want to forget that it ever happened because it was so terrifying (and unfortunately, I will never forget because it was so terrifying.)  Thankfully, God was looking out for us and protected my sweet boy.

Now onto our patch visit…

Hudson headed straight to the horse:

Even her beloved bubba couldn’t make her happy!  And this is my always happy, laid-back baby!

A *little* happier with mommy holding her:

A flashback to this same patch when Huddy was 8 months old:

Look at my big boy now! Same sweet smile (though not in the pic below!)

Maybe Harper will like the bench?

Nope, not so much.

Hud was having a grand old time playing chase with some other kids:

Finally, a small smile!

Third time turned out to be the charm!

Pumpkin Decorating!

We were going to carve pumpkins last weekend, but instead decided to decorate them using our fantastic sticker decor. (thanks Boo Fairy ;))

First, Trent had to clean the pumpkin because Hud said “it had yucky on it”:

Harper was super excited to watch:

Hud jumped right in:

Harper already loves her some sparkles :)

Just one of the many fun fall activities we have been up to lately!

Boo at the Zoo!

I was so excited to take my little Buzz and little Jessie to boo at the zoo this year!  In the past boo at the zoo has always been at night and always been super expensive (even for members). Since Hud was so little, we have never done it.  This year it was during the day and inexpensive so we decided to skip naps and head out there!

Checking out some animals in costume:

Sweet little Harper…aka Jessie. When I asked Hud what he wanted to be for Halloween this year, he told me he wanted to be Buzz and he wanted Harper to be Jessie (he also wanted me to be Woody and Trent to be Porkchop! ha!).  I found this sweet little Jessie dress on Etsy. Perfect for our sweet little sleeping beauty who will not make it to trick or treating this year!

They had the pavilion set up with games and trick or treat stations with candy. Hud LOVED this “catch Nemo game”. He played it at least eight times.

This couple wanted Hud to “talk Buzz Lightyear” to them. Hud was happy to oblige.

And happy to “Buzz” them.

Getting candy from the first station. Hud was able to use candy tickets for himself, me and Harper. (the candy was super cheesy though).

Hudson loves all dogs! Including this puppet dog:

The boys all wanted snow cones.  When I asked Hud what flavor he wanted, he said he didn’t want a flavor – just the ice.  So, I paid $3.50 for a cup of ice which was MORE than fine with me because I was worried about staining his very white costume. :)
