River Legacy Fun

They have revamped the playground at River Legacy and it is a LOT of fun. We spent a Friday morning there with the Oakley crew and a fun time was had by all:

The big kids brought their bikes so we could bike to the picnic area. Big Al kept up really well on his plasma car!

Towards the end Harper decided to get a little cardio in:

Then it was time for more playground fun. Sweet girls:

Queen of the stinkeye…

IMG_3410

Harper will give the stinkeye on command…

Sigh

Let me start this by saying – I am not a huge fan of all the graduations that take place this day.  The only graduations I had was for high school and college. However, this sweet little picture choked me up.  I do not like talking about “how fast the time goes” (and it is my pet peeve when someone says it to me, gets all over me), but this picture chokes me up in a major way. Love my sweet boy more than words can say and I CANNOT believe he will be in Kindergarten in the fall.

Creative Hands (again)

These two could go to Creative Hands every day and be happy!  This time around, a Hello Kitty and a motorcycle were painted:

We hit up CFA afterwards, they were celebrating 30 years of operation. So, the big cow (Harper’s favorite!) was there. This guy always wants a pic:

Harper warmed up enough to say hi by the end. But, in the meantime cupcakes were enjoyed by all:

Great Wolf Lodge!

We surprised the kids with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge! It is one of our favorite places to go as a family!

Two happy kids:

Harper was way more into it this time:

Before hitting the water!

Hud loved all the slides and was loving the wave pool. Harper wanted to spend most of her time in the kids area.

The COLD walk back:

We hit our usual dinner place after a few hours in the water:

This time we made it back for story time (and discovered we really hadn’t missed anything in the past):

Ready for day 2!

We ran into some sweet friends while we were there and got to hang out with them which was such a FUN surprise! The kids (and adults) had a blast together! We thought the kids would be worn out shortly after lunch, but we stayed till almost 4!!!  They were definitely worn out though:

Can’t wait for our next trip to GWL!

Post-casa…

Hud went to Sam’s for a play date. Harper and I went home for her (non) nap.  On the way to get Hud, we stopped by the store to get the snacks for the tball game the next day.

Harper was in charge of the cart:

She is speedy!

We hung out for the Tanners for a little while and the kids found a lizard:

Watching them with that lizard was QUITE entertaining!

Casa

The kids and I went to see Winnie the Pooh at Casa.  Harper was a HUGE fan of her first show:

These sweet boys had a fun time:

Me and my loves:

At one point they were both in my lap for a long stretch.

That afternoon, I heard Harper chatting it up in her room instead of napping. I went in to get her and I noticed she had her babies all lined up.  I asked what she was doing and she said, “I was telling them about Winnie the Pooey”. :)

Easter Sunday….

The kids couldn’t wait to see what the bunny brought them:

This girl loves her some shoes:

Their favorite gifts:

We made our resurrection rolls on Easter morning this year:

While the rolls cooked, the kids opened presents from Nana and Pop:

The empty tomb:

Then it was time for the big Easter egg hunt.  Hud was chomping at the bit:

Some of the eggs were left empty. When the kids found those, they were supposed to yell out, “Hallelujah!” They did a great job:

Hudson was all about getting as many eggs as possible, Harper was all about eating chocolate as she went:

Success!

Finally, a good family photo!

Trent made a delicious (as usual) meal for us all (minus the brussel sprouts, sorry just cannot get on board):

Mom brought over the traditional bunny cake for the kids to decorate:

And Harper continued to sneak candy…

A blessed and wonderful Easter!
