Like Mother, Like Son...(or Trent's worst nightmare)...

Hudson LOVES sweet potatoes! He wanted to grab the spoon and feed himself. The result was sweet potatoes everywhere (aka: Trent's worst nightmare). Hud loved it though and that is what matters...

Friday Fun!

We had a fun playdate with our friends Lacie and Lincoln yesterday:

And of course our obligatory weekend photo:

Massive Post...

We took Hudson to Trent's softball game the other night. He did very well at it and had a great time. Trent played great! His team ended up losing, but had a fantastic comeback.

Here are some more pictures of Hudson and our solids journey. He is still on avocado...we will start sweet potatos this weekend. Contrary to popular belief, we did not start him on avocado because of Joe T's. :) He does seem to like it so far!

Check out our big boy:

My mom and dad got down my old highchair for Huddy. Here he is sitting in it for the first time:

Update on my Dad...

My dad's procedure is over and was a success! We are all relieved it is over and went well. Thank you so much for all of the prayers and encouragement. It couldn't have gone better.

However, my exit from the parking garage could have gone better. I took Trent's truck so that he could have the carseat for Hudson. His truck is very finicky and the alarm doesn't work correctly. Typically, we lock it manually. Well, when my mom and I went to get into the truck to leave to get some lunch the alarm went off. And kept going off. And then killed the engine. We decided to take her car and deal with it when we got back from lunch. In the meantime Trent called a dealership to figure out what to do. We got back and he was walking me through what they said to do and it was not working. The alarm kept blaring and echoing through the parking garage. Next thing I know there are two security guards and their cars behind me...I am pretty sure they thought I was trying to steal the truck. When I explained (over the deafening alarm) what was happening Officer Friendly leans in and starts randomly pushing buttons. I probably don't have to tell you that didn't help at all. He finally went back to his buddy and they just stood back and watched me struggle. I am not sure what I did, but I finally got the alarm to stop and the truck to start. Officer Friendly wanted me to tell him how I did it, but I had no idea. I was more than ready to go home at that point!

More Firsts!

We started Huddy on solids yesterday. Here he is having some avocado for the first time:

After talking to Jessica about it, I decided to give the highchair at restaurants a try. We bought something to help support him a little bit since he can't sit up completely on his own yet. It was a success! He loved looking around at everything and I only cried a little about how big my baby boy is getting!

Weekend of Firsts!

We had another fun weekend of firsts around here...

Hudson is trying so hard to sit up on his own:

Our friends Daon and Bryan came over for dinner Saturday night. Hudson loved him some Bryan!
This isn't a first, but I love this pouty face Huddy makes when he is tired:

More firsts to come in another post...
