May Playdate!

We had another fun playdate this week! Ruth wrote a very sweet post about it on her blog and I agree wholeheartedly with every word. We have been meeting for a full year now! It is hard to believe how much our sweet babies have grown this past year. I can honestly say I don't know what I would have done without this group the past year. It has been such a blessing to have people to talk to, question, vent to, etc. And it has been so much fun watching the kids start to pay attention to each other and recognize each other. A year ago we could line them up in their carriers and look at them now! I look forward to the years ahead with this wonderful group of friends!!!

The Arboretum

The weather this week has been gorgeous! We took advantage of the beautiful weather on Monday and met Mallie and Gates at the Arboretum. The kids really enjoyed being able to get out of the stroller and run off some energy. We had a fun picnic and then strolled around for a bit. It was such a fun day!

Fifteen Month Outtakes

Fifteen Months!!!

Dear Hudson,
You are fifteen months old!!! What a month we have had together. The big news, of course, is that you are officially walking! It took a while to get there, but over the course of an hour you took off and haven't stopped since. We are so proud of you. You are so precious toddling around and you are so curious about everything around you. Everywhere we go you want to explore as much as possible. I love that you still like to cuddle with us despite your independence. You play so well on your own, but you love it when we play with you - which we are more than happy to do. You still like to speak your own little language, but you went through a phase where the ONLY word you would say was "okay". It was quite hilarious. You still think big kids are the best and find anything they do hysterical. You get so excited when your daddy walks in from work, which we both love to see. You are still a very good eater, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop on that one. :) You love bathtime and are very attracted to water in general. I am hoping that means lots of time at the pool this summer. You still love music and the first thing you do at Nana and Papa's is head to the piano. Your little personality is coming out more and more everyday and it is precious to see. You are our sweet, laid-back little man and we could not love you more than we do!!!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Soccer Game

Now that Hudson is walking, I thought it would be fun for the two of us to go to Trent's soccer game. I thought it would be easier since I wouldn't have to worry about him crawling around...silly me. :) I don't think I saw a single minute of the game - I spent the entire time chasing him. There were a few "big" kids playing their own soccer game and little Huddy wanted to join in so badly and couldn't figure out why he couldn't. (Sidenote: those big were so super sweet to him, I was really impressed). Despite the fact I clearly have a lot to learn about having a walker, we still had a great time!

Main Street Days

We took the kids to Main Street Days on Friday. We have hit the milestone we have been waiting for - walking! It was so much fun to let the kids get out of the stroller and play in the kidzone. They had tons of the blocks that Hudson loves and as soon as he saw them he made a beeline for them. Of course, he was also obsessed with the fountain - I am hoping this translates to a love for the pool this summer!
