Harper is 8!

Harper turns 8!

Dear Harper,

You are 8!! You are kind, loving, smart, beautiful and funny. You are goodness and light. You love dancing, reading, playing, God, family and friends. I could not ask for a sweeter little girl and I am proud of you beyond words. You are the best sister and your siblings adore you. We love you so much Harper Joy!

November

November came in and a very excited little girl started counting down to her birthday. We celebrated her at school with lunch:

Then Fin and I did our civic duty. I was {very} disappointed with the outcome, but I have great hope for the future!

This is only the 3rd time since 1995 I have missed Homecoming (and the other 2 times I got babies out of it), so we brought the parade to us at breakfast:

I was sad about HoCo but soccer beckoned:

Then another celebratory lunch - birthday tradition:

We enjoyed a beautiful night outside after church:

Pumpkin carving, Halloweening and more

We carved some great pumpkins. And Finnie even reenacted Linus from the Great Pumpkin, "I didn't know you were going to kill it! Wah!"

That time Fin and I went to the zoo just to ride the carousel and the train:

50's day for Red Ribbon week for Harps:

A look at Halloween past:

Fin and I went to a playdate at CFA on Halloween:

It was a rainy day and I was unsure what the weather would do that night. So, I went to get the girls rain boots. On the way there, Fin asked if she could have rainbow rain boots. Apparently, her wish is my command because they literally ONLY had rainbow rain boots in her size:

Halloween night! The rain cleared, the air was cool and it was a delightful night!
A unicorn:

Rose Gold Minnie Mouse:

Black Panther:

Always fun with this crazy crew:

Not everyone expected the weather to clear so these 3 RAKED IT IN!

Pumpkin patch - the one and only

In what was the most heartbreaking part of October for me - we only made it to one pumpkin patch this year. October broke records for rainfall for us and the patches were closed every weekend. Thankfully, we were able to squeeze one of our favorites in on a somewhat dry weekend:
