A little bribery goes a long way….

Hudson has had a slew of ear infections since he was about 10 months old.  The ear infections led to ear tubes this past October.  During those 10 months where he couldn’t hear, he missed some critical development when it came to language.  He babbles non-stop, but most of it is in his own language.  We had a couple of speech evaluations done this past month and he is now in speech therapy. I went through the range of emotions that comes along with this, the most prominent emotion being guilt.  That I didn’t do enough, didn’t help him enough, I should have pushed for tubes earlier, etc.  Anyway, I am dealing with those feelings, but I am very optimistic that our little guy is going to catch up quickly.  He has already added so many words since the first eval.  Anyway, today we were working on some words and I am not above bribery. :)  A little popcorn resulted in some pretty cute moments with our little bug:

You are an AMAZING mother - don't ever doubt it!! Guilt is just threaded into motherhood!
