Yep, you guessed it….

Lizabeth and I promised the boys we would take them to Hawaiian Falls to ride all the slides without the babies. :)  Her sister, Nicci, and her two oldest were able to join us as well. We had such a fun day!

Not many pictures because we were too busy riding the slides.  We were there from open until about 3:00. Wore those kiddos out, but they had a great time!

Hud had his very first cotton candy experience as well:

Fun day!

Hawaiian Falls – are you surprised?

I meant it when I said we were getting our money’s worth. We met some sweet friends on this day.  Unfortunately, I forgot Harper’s puddle jumper and she had to wear a life jacket. She was NOT too happy and kept asking me to go home and get her puddle jumper. I will not make that mistake again.

And no, he didn’t fall asleep. But, he did stretch out to take a break while we were there:

My little Robin Hood…

Hawaiian Falls kind of summer…

We are really getting our money’s worth out of our Hawaiian Falls passes! We go a few times a week, it is the perfect after naps activity when it is too hot to do anything else!  Lizabeth and I took the kids the day after the 4th. We were afraid it would be crazy busy, but it wasn’t too bad!

Thumbs up for Harper’s new seat!

Sweet kiddos at HF. Hud has lived in his goggles this summer and has quite the tan line from it!

This is what happens when you take a kid to get his allergy shot after a morning trip to swim:

The Actual 4th…

Our 4th of July was awesome.  Completely laid-back and relaxing – perfect! We hung out at home and then after naps, headed to the Tanners for dinner and swimming.

Not many pictures because I was enjoying myself too much!

The awesome weather continued. We all commented on how our kids had no clue how lucky they were to experience such incredible weather on the 4th (they are also going to think it snows every Christmas, but that is another story).

Happy “3rd” of July!

Our city (and many of the surrounding cities) celebrate the 4th with fireworks on the 3rd.  This made me scratch my head a few years ago, but now I actually like it better.  It is nice that the late night of fireworks falls BEFORE the holiday now.

Spidey, Harper and I hit up Pump it Up that morning:

Remember that mild July that I mentioned? It continued.  Amazing.  We ate dinner outside before the fireworks:

We met up with the Tanner’s for the fireworks.  It is the first time in history (at least as far as I can remember) that we didn’t sit in sweltering heat to see fireworks. It is usually 100 degrees at 10:00.  Glorious!

Parr Playdate

We had a fun playdate with Jackson and Savannah.  Parr Park added an awesome spray park.  Hudson prefers the spider web, but Harper enjoys the water. Luckily, they are right next to each other so I can keep an eye on both of them:

Waco playdate

We met some sweet friends in Waco for a super fun playdate at the beginning of July.

We started out at Cameron Park Zoo.  I haven’t been there since college, so it was fun for all of us!  Plus, my kids love a zoo. The weather was surprisingly mild!  In fact, the whole first week of July was fabulous.

After lunch (which is documented below because trying to move my iphone pics around makes me nutty) we headed to campus:

Hudson picked out this Baylor elephant (??? Not sure why we sell a Baylor elephant!) and named him Shooting Star:

This is the spot where Trent and I got engaged!  There used to be a bench there (which is where we actually sat), but they moved it. :( The plaque is still there though.  The bench was donated by a couple who met on campus (she was a Chi O!) and they share our anniversary date. :)

Going backwards…we had a yummy lunch at Vitek’s.  My friends are a little horrified that I didn’t branch out much in college when it came to restaurants.  They are slowly but surely expanding my Waco horizons. :)

Love this pic of future Baylor Bears!

The Austin crew headed back, but Liz and I walked around campus for a while with the kids. The kids were craving Dr Pepper floats (a BU staple), so we headed to the Dr Pepper museum to get some! Another Waco landmark I had never been to:

After a very fun day, we headed out late (around 5).  Just north of Hillsboro, I35 became a parking lot for no reason.  Despite the long day, OF COURSE my kids weren’t asleep!!! :) We didn’t make it home until after 7, but we had such a FUN day!
