Pre-school Christmas party!

The last day of school was also the class Christmas party. I was so glad Hudson felt well enough to be there and I was super excited to be part of it.

The other room moms and I brought lunch in for the kids.  After they found their chairs with their names on it, we got to see their sweet blessing over the meal:

This is what I get when I ask Hudson to smile for me lately. I ask him to show me his teeth and he takes it very seriously:

After lunch the kids decorated cupcakes and then we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus:

Hudson then needed a little book break (like mother, like son):

Then it was time for a craft. The kids decorated Christmas tree ornaments:

Then it was time for the book exchange!

It was a very sweet party. We are so thrilled with Hud’s school and are blessed to be there.

Direct from Santa…

There was a website going around this year where you could get a personalized video from Santa to your child. Hudson ate it up. He wanted to watch it over and over and over….

The simple things…

make the kids so happy. I love it.  And I love watching them really start to play together!

December…

has consisted of a lot of this:

PJ days and rest.  I cannot get over how sick my kids have been this month.  I am not opposed to the occasional  PJ day, but this has been ridiculous.

2011 Christmas card…

it was a labor of love this year to get the pictures for the card, but I really love how it turned out. :)

A visit with Santa…

I took the kids to see Santa last week. I wasn’t sure how it was going to go…but it went pretty much as I expected. :)

Hudson loved him some Santa and was happy to sit in his lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas (a truck, a stegosaurus and a shark).

And Harper…well, my sweet-little-super-attached-to-mommy-girl…wanted no part of Santa:

Santa was loving Hudson and brought him back to talk to him some more while I picked out the pictures we were going to buy.  He asked me if Hudson was always that happy. :)

Here are the pictures we picked:

Poor Harper. :(  And a flashback:

New tradition…

Thanks to the wonder that is pinterest, we started a new tradition this year.  Wrap up 24 Christmas books and open one every night starting on December 1st. Hudson loves it and looks forward to opening a new book every night!
