24 hours later…
The cardiologist wanted Hud to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours (as a precaution, we are still waiting on the results). I tried to keep things as low key as possible, but that is pretty much impossible with 2 little ones. They were begging to go to the park, so I took them to a very small, never crowded one.
That lasted about 10 minutes. Then they begged to go to the park where all the other kids were.
I am sure eyebrows were raised at the results from that heart monitor. :)
And a picture of my “bionic boy” before I took the stickers off:
My Brave (elephant) boy!!!
My sweet boy has been through so much this past year health wise – countless sinus infections, pneumonia, CT scan, sinus surgery. It is ridiculous! :( A few weeks ago, on a random trip to the pedi, we encountered another issue. We didn’t see our usual doctor that day and the doctor we did see detected an irregular heartbeat. You could have knocked me over!!! After our countless trips to the doctor this year, SURGERY and this was the first time anyone had ever mentioned this! She sent us up for an EKG that day. To be honest, (for the first time in my life) I really wasn’t worried. Well, I was wrong. They called me with the results and sure enough an irregularity showed up on his EKG. So, we had to wait two very LONG weeks for an appointment with a cardiologist. When the day finally got here, the appointment was 3 hours long. They did another EKG and an echo. Finally, the doctor came in to talk to us and go over the results with us. Sweet boy does have an arrhythmia, but it is benign and he will most likely outgrow it. It was the second best news we could have gotten. :) The bad thing was while we were talking to the doctor, Hud’s eardrum burst!!! But, that is a whole other post.
After appointment number 1, my sweet boy and I had a lunch date together:
Then it was off to see the pedi about that pesky ear. His book bag from school had an elephant hat in it and he wanted to wear it to the appointment:
Love my silly boy and so very thankful for him and his healthy heart. :)

Every year…
I saw a post on Pinterest last year that I knew I had to copy. It was a picture of a brother/sister that took a picture on the same day, the same pose, in the same place every year. Well, it would be a stretch for me to remember to do it on the same day every year, but I figure I can pull off the same pose and the same month every year. :)

Pumpkin Patch Visit #2!
We headed up to our FAVORITE pumpkin patch earlier in the month. It was the perfect pumpkin patch weather!!
Hudson is a big fan of this patch because they have a ton of things to do. Including his favorite…bounce houses! :)
Thanks to this article, I am making an effort to take more pictures with the kids. Hudson was being very picture cooperative on this day:
Time to pick our perfect pumpkins!
Until Daddy noticed something that would make Hudson very excited…
Charlie Brown!
Harper requested a pic with Chuck as well:
There is also an area with all kinds of cutout characters. Harper went nuts and wanted pictures with all of them. Cracked me up how happy she was to see M&M since she wouldn’t get near them at Disney:
Technically is not her first visit to this patch (or even her first visit to a patch this year!), but I couldn’t resist getting another picture of her:
Flashback:
And a Hud flashback:
Her beloved Elmo:
Hudson loves the hay maze. He did it 3 or 4 times while we were there. However, the last time he got a little turned around (adults are not allowed in the maze). He came out crying
:( But, apparently some super sweet kids help him find his way out. That cured his love for the maze though.
Hudson wanted to check out some of his favorite characters as well:
My awesome helper. I love this age! Hudson is constantly asking how he can help me. :)
Such a sweet day with my sweet family!
