Oh Mercy...

This is what we like to call Hudson's "Oh mercy" face. He did this a lot on the sonograms, too....

Weekend Fun!

Our little Baylor Bear! Here is Hudson in his first Baylor onesie!

It cracks me up when he sleeps like this. I think he looks like such a cute little snob! :)
Hudson woke up while we were at Babe's and didn't quite know where he was or what was going on. Later the table behind us had a birthday and their singing freaked poor little Huddy out!
Life got much better when Aunt Bonbon fed him though!

A Day in the Life of Hudson...

Okay, not really...but some days he is quite the sleeper! :)

Huddy Buddy had his two month appointment on Monday. That means he also got his first round of shots. :( He was very brave, braver than I was that is for sure! Thanks to his Nana for the emotional support - for me. He now weighs 12 pounds 4 ounces and is 23 inches long. We love our growing boy!

A note to Hudson...

Dear Hudson,
You are two months old today! And though you can't tell from this picture (which was taken after we so rudely woke you up by removing you from your car seat), you are a very happy baby. You are smiling so much and even starting to giggle. You love your swing and your friends the bees on the swing. You really love your bouncy seat and giggle the most when you are in that. You aren't too interested in rolling over yet, but you sure do seem like you want to crawl! I have a feeling we will have our hands full sooner rather than later. You recently discovered yourself in the mirror and frankly you are a little fascinated by yourself. :)
Your two month birthday started with a bang, literally. You and daddy were in a slight fender bender last night. Luckily, you are both just fine...as what has become quite custom for you - you slept through the entire thing.
Your daddy and I love you very much! You bring so much joy to all of our lives and we are so lucky to be your mommy and daddy.

Love, Mommy

Happy Birthday Nana!

Today is my mom's birthday! To celebrate we took her to lunch at Joe T's. Hud is becoming a real regular at Joe T's, much like his parents. Come Sunday he will have been there three days in a row (we really aren't that obsessed with the place, we just happen to have plans there all 3 days). Anyway, here are a few pictures of the birthday girl and her favorite grandson...

Huddy Buddy was awesome company at lunch :) :

He must have been worn out from all the fun in his swing this morning:

When we got home he woke up for fun in his bouncy seat (which he loves!) and with daddy:

Happy Birthday Mom! I love you!

Big eyes...

Hudson has big, beautiful eyes. When he is fighting sleep they get even bigger. It is like he thinks the bigger he makes his eyes the longer he will stay up and not miss anything. Here is an example:

More Tummy Time with Huddy

Hudson loves his tummy time. Well, I guess he loves it because he doesn't scream. He doesn't seem to be close to rolling over yet, but appears to want to crawl. He has some strong little legs (which my ribs can testify to)...

Strolling on a Sunday morning...

We took Huddy Buddy for a walk this morning. Our little guy loves to snuggle so it isn't a surprise that he loves to be in the Bjorn. We were afraid his little head might get burned so we would be a hat on him. It is still a little big so it made for some fun pictures:

The Final Four Part I

I think this is the longest I have gone without blogging since Huddy Buddy was born! Trent and I had our first get-away since Hudson was born. We were lucky enough to be invited to attend the Final Four, courtesy of our good friends the Fasbenders. What an incredible experience! It was so hard to leave Hudson (even though I knew he was in great hands with Nana and Papa), but we had such a good time. And it was such a treat to get back to our Hudson! :) Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Pray for the Janszen Family

One of my best friends from college found out recently that her dad has cancer. Please say a prayer for Mike Janszen and his family. They have a long road ahead, but the doctors are optimistic. His children have started a blog to keep people informed of his progress. You can click here to see the blog.

Jamie, if you are reading this, I love you! We will continue to pray for your dad daily - please let us know if we can do anything for you guys!

Hannah Jane

Hudson's little cousin Hannah was born last Thursday. Beth and Jason's little girl weighed 7 pounds 9 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. She is absolutely precious. Please say a prayer for her because she was born with some complications and will have to be in the hospital for a while. We look forward to the day that she is welcomed home and Hudson can play with her!

Huddy Buddy

Hudson had a very exciting day today. First, we went to visit Trent at his office and to have lunch. After a delicious lunch at Billy Miner's (which Hudson slept through of course) Hudson had a delicious lunch of formula. Then it was off to the mall and his first visit to his parents favorite store - Banana Republic. Judging from the pictures I think he is a fan...
