Hudson and the baby cow….

which is really a giraffe.  Hudson LOVES Harper’s little giraffe and call it his baby cow.  He is very sweet to it and rocks it, feeds it, puts it down to go “night, night”, etc.  Pretty adorable. :)

He has also become very attached to my old point and shoot camera.  He has filled up many memory cards with his creative shots. :)

Gone fishing…

Nana and Pop got Hudson a fishing pole for Easter.  (Lightening McQueen, of course.  His latest favorite/obsession).  He was having a very fun time “fishing” in the living room the other day and delivering the fish to Harper and I to “eat”.  Good times. :)

It’s hot…

It is summer…it is Texas…and it is hot…

But, we are still hanging outside!

Trent installed some AWESOME misters to help keep Harps and I cool while Hud plays to his heart’s content…

1st Tooth!

Harper got her first tooth right around 6 1/2 months!  That was about two weeks earlier than her big brother.  She is working on 3 more right now.  I will catch a picture of the little tooth soon! :)

The pool is open!

We had our first swim of the season at my parents house on Memorial Day.  It was also my dad’s birthday!

Hudson managed to find himself a ball:

Towards the end of last summer, we had a scary moment. Hud fell into the pool and did not have his puddle jumper on because we had just gotten out there.  I was the closest to him (and I was also six months pregnant).  I have never moved so fast in my life and he was not under more than ten seconds.  However, it apparently scarred him a bit because he remembers falling in and was very hesitant to get off the steps. I am suddenly glad we weren’t able to start swim lessons until August – it will give us some time to work with him.

It was sweet Harper’s first time in the water!  We have a total water baby on our hands!  She loved it!

Hudson could me coaxed out if someone held tight to him:

Look at the birthday boy going for a dive!  He will probably kill me for putting this on here, but I don’t think he reads the blog so I am probably safe. :)
