Thanksgiving Day!

Our Thanksgiving Day started out with Hudson being thankful for his breakfast. :) He did his typical routine of chatting it up with his food before eating it.!After breakfast we bundled Huddy up (it was chilly this morning) and set out on our annual Fletcher Family Turkey Trot! This is the fourth year for the trot - we have been doing our own 5K every Thanksgiving morning since we got married.

After we got home Hudson was riveted to the tv for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade:
until he discovered his new toy basket in the corner....

Huddy was really able to enjoy the Thanksgiving meal. He basically had a little bit of everything. It was so fun to watch him to enjoy it with us all!
Huddy had a lot of fun playing with Brit and can't wait to see her in a few weeks for Christmas! :)

Thanksgiving Eve

I love a tradition! Our Thanksgiving weekend and holiday season is full of fun traditions. We decided to add a new one this year. Every year we are going to go to Joe T's on Thanksgiving Eve and then watch a movie at home. (I know - we always go to Joe T's, but that isn't the point :)). Anyway, here we are enjoying some Joe T's. Hudson has had refried beans many times now, but this time he enjoyed a true feast! Chicken, tortillas, beans, guac...he ate it all! Guess he was getting ready for the big day the next day!

Thankful

We are very thankful today (and every day) for the many blessings in our life...especially the one pictured above. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hudson's latest discovery...

Little Einsteins

Hudson loves the show Little Einsteins. He especially loves the little girl Annie on it. He giggles and "talks" to her when she comes on the screen. For his Thanksgiving gift Papa and Nana gave him the Little Einstein Christmas DVD. Here he is getting it and later giving it his full attention.

Breakfast of Champions

Hudson really likes to eat. I mean a lot. He never turns down food and it doesn't matter what it is - I think we are in trouble in about 12 years in terms of grocery bills...Anyway, the thing that really cracks me up is that he likes to talk to his food as he eats. Every morning he picks up a piece of pancake or a cheerio and talk to it as he guides to his mouth. I would love to know what his babble would translate to in English. :) I tried to capture his morning routine this morning - it isn't quite as bubbly as usual, but you get the idea. :)

Arizona Trip Last Day!

On our last morning Hudson was having fun rolling around the room while we got ready:
Then it was time for one last photo shoot:

Hudson was charming EVERYONE at the airport! Who could resist this smile?:

Arizona Trip Day 3 and Day 4 (aka Bonus Day)

For some reason I do not have any pictures from day 3 of our trip. But, we had such a fun day. We had breakfast, walked around the square and had a nice, relaxing day. We were scheduled to go back on Monday, but the flights filled up so instead we had a bonus day and stayed until Tuesday.

We went back to the square and had lunch at a great Greek restaurant. Then we walked around the square and went into some stores that had been closed the day before. Prescott has a wonderful town square. They had their decorations up for Christmas which was fun to see. Apparently, Prescott is called the Christmas City. You know I love that!

After our afternoon in the square we went to visit Grandpa at his office:

We loved our bonus day!

Nine Month Stats

Today was Huddy's nine month check-up. This was a great appointment because there are no shots! Love it! Just a little toe prick that he didn't even notice because he was too busy babbling to the nurse. Anyway, the doctor said Hudson is doing great and gave me some guidiance with the whole solids issue which I appreciated.

Hudson is now 30 inches long (95th%). He is apparently as long as the average one year old. Our tall boy! :) He weighs 20 lbs. 9 oz. I will be honest, I was shocked...I thought he weighed a lot more. I think that was around the 75th% which the doctor said was right on. All in all a good appointment.

Arizona Trip Day 2

On our second day in Arizona we took a trip up to Sedona. We went for a hike in a National park in town. It was a gorgeous day and perfect weather. Hudson really enjoyed the hiking backpack. At one point (we hiked for about an hour and a half) he decided he was over it and took a little nap. :)

Nine Month Outtakes

Nine Months Old!

Dear Hudson,
You are nine months old today! I know I say every month about how much fun you are, but you do get more fun every single day! You are such a sweet, loving little boy. You never meet a stranger and love to wave and smile at everyone you see. You get very upset when people don't respond to you (wonder who you get that from?). You are crawling everywhere and have gotten very quick the past few days. We find you sitting up and talking (usually to your paci) every morning and you get the biggest smile on your face when you see us. You continue to love to eat...there is absolutely nothing you don't love to eat. You are trying to pull up on everything and have been successful a few times. You still love to jump jump. You are a very active little boy - always on the move and always talking. We love listening to you talk to yourself when you are in the backseat. You love to whisper to your paci which cracks us up. You took your first plane ride this month. You did such a great job and we were so proud of you. You charmed everyone on the plane and even managed to nap there and back. You continue to be such a flexible, easy-going little guy. We drag you everywhere and you seem to enjoy yourself everywhere we go. For some reason you love it when we fake sneeze - that is always a sure bet for belly laughs and we love making you laugh. Your favorite toys are your jumperoo, blocks, rings and various books (to chew on that is). You love to be outside, that is where you are always the happiest. You love to look around and take everything in around you. You are saying mama and dada and we love to hear it. We have so much to look forward to in the coming months and we look forward to sharing your "firsts". We love you so very much!

Love,

Mommy and Daddy
