Christmas Eve Part II

After a wonderful Christmas Eve candlelight service, we hurried home to feed the kids and get ready for Santa!  The kids got to open one gift…new Christmas pjs. :)

My attempt at a sibling pic went a little better than Thanksgiving!

Harper turned into a pumpkin, so Hud was left on his own to help prepare for Santa:

After Hud went to bed (he asked if he could stay up and wait for Santa)…Santa’s elves got busy:

Christmas Eve Part I

We had a very relaxing Christmas this year.  It started with the two littles chilling in their chairs:

Harper makes me a little more nervous in her chair than Hud ever did. I think it is because a. she likes to stand up in it a lot and b. she falls out of it a lot (which is why I hover close by and catch her every time). :)
Love that we were in pjs most of the day!!!

Fletcher Family Extravaganza!!!

We had to postpone our extravaganza a week because of all the illness in our house.  But, it was still a great time!  We started with our traditional dinner at Campisi’s (I have no pictures from that).  Then we changed the kids into their jammies:

Made a stop at Starbucks for holiday drinks:

I love how much they love each other:

A couple of our favorites:

Tiger Woods apparently likes the lights as well:

Hudson has always fallen asleep early on, but this year he stayed up the whole time. As did Harper. :) Made for a very late night for our early to bed kiddos, but it was a night full of wonderful memories!!!

Annual Baking Day!

The week before Christmas we had our annual day of baking.  This year we made sugar cookies with royal icing and buckeyes!  And by we, I mean my mom and I. :) But, the kids did enjoy helping a bit:

All Aboard!

One of our very favorite traditions is riding the Polar Express train with our good friends! I was looking forward to Harper’s first ride (last year we left her home because she was a month old:)), but she was under the weather. :(  Next year, baby girl!

A little pre-train dancing:

They always have a pre-show before the ride. In the past the show has been VERY long and VERY cheesy. This year, it was surprisingly short! And not nearly as cheesy (depending on who you ask…).

After the not-nearly-as-cheesy-but-with-random-British-accents show, we walked through the “snow” to board the train!

Hudson was itching to ride with his friends, so I snapped a shot of him and Trent while I could.

Hudson was obsessed with the end of Jackson’s hat:

Not sure what Jenny was negotiating here:

Another change – in the past there has been a woman over the loudspeaker singing Christmas carols and telling a story, which you couldn’t really ever hear. This year, we had this American Idol wannabe (who I think was 12):

The conductor came by to punch our tickets:

No way we were getting a family shot:

Then it was time for the big man himself!

Everyone got a bell this year!

Santa was sweet and trying to appease this picture loving mommy:

We also got coupons for a free hot chocolate! Perfect end to a wonderful night!
