It is official!  Our house is sold and we are no longer homeowners. :)

On our last day there Hudson was kind enough to help clean up:

I have mixed emotions…I am so excited that we sold it and I am very happy to be moving on.  But, it is our first house and where we brought Hudson home for the first time, so I will always be nostalgic about it…

Gracie is 1!

In the midst of the moving chaos, we were able to head down to Bryan for Gracie’s first birthday!  We made an overnight stop along the way to stay with our friends the Hagins’ in Waco.  I didn’t get very many pictures, but the kids had a great time.  Hudson thought Kate and Robert were hilarious:

Then it was on to Bryan for the birthday party!  Melissa’s parents have a beautiful home with an awesome pool.  Trent was kind enough to take Huddy swimming so that I didn’t have to drive back with wet hair. :)

The birthday girl!:

I am so glad it worked out where we were able to help celebrate Gracie and her big birthday!  Happy birthday sweet girl!

Bounce House Fun!

I am way behind on blogging, I can’t imagine why!  A few weeks ago we went to a bounce house place for playgroup.  It was such a fun time.  When we first got there we were pretty much the only people there which was so nice.  They had a great area for toddlers and it was nice to be inside on such a HOT day!

Hudson’s new noise…

Hudson started doing this really funny laugh yesterday – I need to get it on video, but in the meantime I did get a series of photos of it:

Little Jack Johnson…

Apparently, Hudson was feeling tropical today.  He found some huge beads that I got in Hawaii and became very attached to them. He even wore them to Costco (believe me I tried to pry them away)!

Eighteen Months!

Dear Hudson,

You are eighteen months today!!!  I had planned to make a bigger deal out of your half birthday…unfortunately a little thing called moving got in the way. I love this month’s picture of you – it looks like you are practicing a senior picture pose. :)

You are our little lovebug (I know that when you are a teenager that you will just love the fact that I referred to you that way:)).  We are so lucky that you are such a go with the flow kiddo.  You have taken this move into your Nana and Papa’s house in complete stride.  The past month has been a little crazy for us – selling the house, packing it, moving and you have been great!  We have still managed to squeeze in some fun activities – lots of time in the water, trips to the zoo and the park.

Your new favorite word this month is “go” and you most certainly do that all the time!  You have started to get a little pickier about eating, but you still love your fruits and veggies.  You would eat grapes (or any fruit) all day long if I let you.  You have mastered running and you are running all over the place.  You love to climb and will climb on absolutely anything that is stationary.  You are a curious little thing – always checking out your surroundings and very inquisitive about what is going on.

You have a new favorite show – Miss Spider – you talk and talk to the characters.

You now require TWO pacis to go to sleep.  One in your mouth and one in your hand – boy, are we in trouble. :)

My favorite part of the day is watching how excited you get when your Daddy gets home from work.  As soon as I say that Daddy is home you take off running for the front door, chanting “yeah, yeah, yeah” the whole way.  Then you laugh and squeal when you see him.  It is precious and makes Daddy’s day.

You still have your precious language and I adore it.  It makes me so happy to hear you babble.

We love you so much baby boy!!!

Why we are MIA…

We sold our house!  Once we are through the fun times of moving…we will be back to the blogging world. :)

First Haircut!

I finally took Hudson to get his first real haircut yesterday!  The first place I went to was very sketchy…so I declared overtired child to the people who worked there and got out of dodge.  The next place I went to was a place that a friend had recommended (and I should have gone their from the beginning!).  Anyway, it was a great experience and Hudson did super!  I will definitely be going back here for every future haircut (or in this case trim). :)

First boo-boo :(

Last week Hudson had his first major tumble.  I was in the bathroom getting stuff together while he was playing his new favorite game – turning the bath water on and off.  He has been doing this for a while and I kept glancing over at him.  Next thing I know, he has dropped something he was holding into the tub and he dove headfirst after it.  His little feet were in the air and he had hit his lip on the tub.  I scooped him up as fast as humanly possible and ran to the other room to stop the blood that was gushing everywhere.  Of course our little boy who knows no fear and has the highest pain threshold ever, was fine by this point.  He was ready to run and play.  It turned out he cut his upper lip (I did not realize how much lip injuries bled).  Thankfully, he was fine and I didn’t make an appearance at the ER in my pj’s (yeah, that almost happened).  Now that we have the first injury out of the way, I am hoping I will be more calm in the future!

We had such a fun playgroup last week!  It was the first time that the mommies actually got to have real conversation since the babies were in carriers!  (Or at least that is how it felt!).  And we got a couch picture for the first time in months thanks to Sesame Street!  Thanks Katie for such a FUN day!!!

Hudson and Jacob were REALLY into their show! :)

Splash Fun!

We had a fun impromptu day at the park with the Goodyears’ and the Hayes’ last week!  The park also has a splash area for the kids.  Hudson is always dying to get in there when we go to this park, but I never have his swim stuff with us.  This time we came prepared.  The best part was the park was empty except for all of us.

Huddy had fun watching the bigger kids play:

Hudson and Tessie played together:

I feel like he might have been up to no good here:

Later Huddy decided to hang out with the ladies for a while:

Thanks for such a fun day!!!
