Happy Birthday, Papa!

Happy Birthday Dad! Yesterday was my dad's birthday. Due to unforseen circumstances we postponed the birthday celebration until Sunday night. I will be sure to post pictures of it then. Until then here are a couple of pictures of the birthday boy and Hudson. Happy Birthday Dad!!! I love you very much!

Yesterday, Hudson and I had lunch with my friend Jamie and her son Braxton. Braxton was so sweet with Hudson and tried to share his fries with him. I am pretty sure Hudson wanted some, too!

The V8

So, Hudson has been eating a lot lately. I mean a LOT. Poor little guy just could not get full. He was eating about 30% more formula a day than he is "supposed" to. So, after much discussion and research we decided to give him a little bit of cereal at night to help his little tummy get full. He is a few weeks short of four months, the magical age for solids, but we are only doing cereal and only once a day. The good news? The very small amount we are giving him seems to be filling him up and he is back to a normal amount of formula per day. The bad news? He really seemed to hate it the first night we gave it to him:

He is liking it a lot more now though. :)

Fletcher Family Day of Fun!

Trent woke me up this morning and proposed we have a Fletcher Family Day of Fun (okay, so I called it that not him). Anyway, we played hooky from church and headed out.
Our first stop was Esperanza's for a yummy brunch. For those who do not live here - Esparanza's is Joe T's bakery. There is one location next door to Joe T's and another new location in W. FW. We tried that one a couple of weeks ago - according to Trent the original "is far superior". So there you go.
Huddy Buddy hung out with Daddy for a while after we ordered.
The smell of the food must have gotten to him because he had to eat. He loved the salsa we added to his bottle! I kid, I kid.
Next, we headed to Nana and Papa's (my mom and dad's) house so that Trent and I could lay out by the pool. Hudson stayed inside, but still got into the spirit of things...
We had such a good day of family fun! It was so much fun that Hudson was completely worn out...

Family Picture

We haven't taken too many family pictures. We dropped Hudson off at his Nana and Papa's this morning before we went to Colonial. I decided that was a good time for a family picture...Hudson was still pretty sleepy and wasn't too into the idea. :)

Hudson loves his Nana...and his toys...

Playdate

Hudson and I had such a fun playdate yesterday! Mallie invited us over to see her sweet baby Gates. We met new friends - Jenny and Keelan, Ruth and Callie and Katie and Jacob. It was so much fun and we are looking forward to it again next month. It was so nice to visit with people in the same place in life. :) Here are some fun pictures from the day. Katie and Jacob had to leave before we got a picture with him in it, but I will make sure to get one next time. Check out cute Callie - she loved helping Hudson out. So sweet!

Later that night Hud and I went to Macaroni Grill with my parents. He had some fun expressions while we were there. Afterwards, we came home and he had a little fun in his beloved bouncy seat before it was time for bed...

Three months...

Dear Hudson,
Today you are three months old! You are cute as can be and so much fun. Your little personality is really starting to come out. You love to laugh and giggle. The fan is still your best friend, but I think we are starting to climb the charts with you, too. You love your bouncy chair and will sit in it for as long as we let you. We let you have your fun, but we love to cuddle you too much to leave you in there for very long. You are sleeping very well at night. You love to eat! :) You are beginning to like baths much more than you did when you first came home with us. We are hoping this translates into you enjoying the pool. You aren't loving the car like you did in the beginning, but once we get moving you are okay. You let us know that you are unhappy at red lights though or maybe you just want to make sure we don't forget you are back there. :)

We love you so much!!!

Love, Mommy and Daddy
