Hudson had to have a test done today due to his spit up issue. The machine looks a lot worse than it actually was...he even fell asleep for a little while under it (as you can see in the pictures). They put on Baby Einstein for him, which he loved. He was very sweet and patient under the machine (he was there for 40 minutes) and the techs all mentioned how good natured he is (I am sure they were not thinking that during the fit he threw when they were trying to give him the sugar water).
The point of the test was to determine how long it was taking for food to empty out of his tummy. They wanted to see at least 50% out of him within a hour. They let us go early because it seemed like he was stomach was doing what it was supposed to be doing. We are waiting for the official word, but it does look like he has reflux. Hopefully, the medicine he is on will take care of that and he will eventually outgrow it. Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers!

Our little taco...
Oh the joys of spit up! We could hear Huddy fussing after he went to bed tonight. We went in to check on him and he had of course spit up everywhere. (He was fussing because he hates being in the middle of all of that junk - who can blame him). Anyway, as we were taking the sheet off, Trent started wrapping him in it and calling him our little taco. He LOVED it and started cracking up. It was a fun little moment before bedtime. :)
Our appointment to have some tests run for this spit up issue is tomorrow. Please say a little prayer for our little taco! :)

Mr. Curious...
This morning when Huddy Buddy should have been sleeping still I heard quite a ruckus coming from his room. Some major banging was going on...I came in to find this...

All over the place...
This is how I laid Hudson down this afternoon: And this is what happened over the next five minutes:
I have the feeling life is going to get pretty busy around here soon...

***Please excuse his lack of pants! The little wiggle worm wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get them back on after his nap. Shocking I know...:)

Seven Months!
Dear Hudson,
You are seven months old! You are such a big boy. You are babbling up a storm and sitting up all on your own. You are trying your hardest to crawl and get so frustrated when you can't quite do it yet. You are rolling over and over and over again! Your seven month birthday marked the debut of your first tooth! We had a feeling it was coming and now it is officially here. You are such a happy little boy. We love that we can take you anywhere and everywhere and you just go with the flow as we drag you around town and then some. This past month you went on your first road trip to Omaha and got to see where your Daddy grew up. We had so much fun taking you to places like the Huskers game, the zoo and some of our favorite places to eat there. You were a trooper in the car and did a great job. You have become quite attached to your friend the paci this past month, I have a feeling because of your new tooth. The majority of the time you sleep on your tummy or scrunched up on your tummy in a little ball. You have expanded your horizons so much in the food department. You are eating avocado, sweet potatos, squash, apples, plums, peaches, carrots, green beans and bananas. You seem to love everything and are quite the little eater! You still don't love to nap, but we have learned to deal with that together. We love watching you learn and grow each day. You melt my heart when you reach your cute little arms up and reach for us. We love you so very much.
Love, Mommy and Daddy

Guess who...
has a tooth!!!! Yea!!! The tooth finally busted through today on Hud's seven month birthday! These pictures have absolutely nothing to do with this fact, I just think he looks cute! :) We had a fun dinner tonight at Coal Vines and Huddy was in a very smiley mood now that the pain seems to be over! Look for Huddy's seven month post a day late (the photo shoot didn't go so well today, so we will try again tomorrow!).
Uncle JLD
Hudson got to meet his "uncle" Jeremy (aka JLD) yesterday! It was so fun to have Jeremy come up and visit. We became good friends in college and have remained that way over the years. Jeremy lives right on the Houston/Galveston border and was evacuated during Ike. Unfortunately, he still does not have power and is staying with good friends of his out of town. We were able to get together for dinner Thursday night and had a great time. Huddy enjoyed his time with JLD and especially liked his beard (as you will see below). Come back and visit again soon Uncle J!

TEETHING.....
Every bit the nightmare they tell you it is going to be....as you can see from this picture EVERYTHING goes in the mouth these days and I mean everything! Meals are taking a lot longer because the rubber spoon apparently soothes the gums!
So what else is going on? Well...a little piano playing with our new bestie the paci! What the heck? The kid hated the paci until about 3 weeks ago...now he is lost without it (and most of the time lost without it at 3 a.m.!)...
A little sitting up...
Some goofing around with our ring...A little sleeping...
And a lot more teething!

On the move...sort of...
Huddy is trying very hard to army crawl. I captured his attempts this morning. He can make it a good foot so far. Last night I heard him in his crib and went to check on him. He sleeps on his tummy now all the time (since he is so into rolling). He was scrunched up in a ball and inching forwad all in his sleep. At least it was in his sleep until he suddenly lurched forward and bonked his head on the side of the crib. Poor little pumpkin...luckily he was just fine and went back to sleep soon after that.
Football, football and more football...
We took Hudson to his first High School football game last night. We figured after the Huskers game, he is a pro. My cousin was performing during the halftime show so it worked out perfectly. Huddy Buddy did great and seemed to love watching the crowd and listening to the music. Trent and my dad also worked out what position Hudson will eventually play...thank goodness...I was losing sleep over that one...
Thanks to Ike we are laying low at home today...which of course means more football!

Playdate!
We had another fun playdate this month! This month Mallie hosted us. We were able to get a picture with all of the kids this time which has never happened, so we were really excited! The boys outnumbered the girls for the first time, too. Hudson was loving the girls as usual as you will see in the pictures...
On top of the couch we have Jacob (Katie) and Keelan (Jenny). Then from left to right: Gates (Mallie), Huddy, Callie (Ruth), Jack (Tiffanie) and Darius (Amy).
It was fun as always! We have a couple of fun things planned in October that we are looking forward to with this fun crew!
