Hudson is here!!!

Trent and I are so proud to introduce you to our beautiful baby boy! He was born Tuesday, February 19th at 8:03 a.m. As predicted, he was a big boy! He weighed in at 8 and 1/2 pounds and 20 inches long. There was even a comment made in the OR about how big he was! He is the sweetest little boy and we love him so much. We can't wait for all of our friends and family to meet him! (oh yes, he was 2 weeks early).

Valentine's Day!

Trent and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We celebrated twice this year. Last weekend with dinner out at one of our favorite restaurants Bob's. Then last night we celebrated with one of our favorite traditions fondue at home. Fondue takes great preparation at our house. First, we have to clean off the table and lay down papers everywhere so the oil doesn't splatter:

Trent whips up these fabulous sauces to dip our meat in. A horseradish and ketchup mixture.

And we have these fabulous twice baked potatoes:

For dessert I made homemade strawberry cupcakes with homemade strawberry icing. The icing turned out a little too sugary, but the cupcake was good. At least Trent seemed to enjoy them:

Then it was time for Trent's Valentine's present. I got him a shirt from one our favorite shows Friday Night Lights (see post below on how to help save this great show). You have to watch the show to truly appreciate the shirt, but Trent was excited!

It is time for him to come out!

Pregnancy has officially become painful. I realize that I haven't had the easiest pregnancy in the world, but we have hit the painful stage. Hudson has finally realized that he is running out of room in there and is trying to strech out as much as he can. This results in a foot in my right rib which then causes me to jump about a foot in the air. Bless his heart and bless mine as well.

People keep telling me I will miss feeling him move inside of me. I tell them I would much rather have him out in the real world then feel a foot in my rib. I seriously do not think I will miss this pain at all. If I am wrong I promise to eat my words and admit it, but I don't see it happening.

I am so glad there is an end date in sight and we will be meeting him so soon!

Friday Night Lights!

Completely unrelated to the baby or the Fletchers....this is the BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION. And just like other wonderful shows (RIP Veronica Mars) NBC is threatening to cancel it.

So, if you love this show as much as I do go here and sign the petition to save this great show. And if you aren't a fan - rent the season one DVDs! You won't regret it.

Ready for baby!!!

Now all we need is for Hudson to get here! My mom painted the letters hanging above the crib! I love how they turned out. We will able to bring a little blue back in the room which made me so happy.

And because Trent and I are so goofy here is a picture of our stroller. We can't wait to use it!

A few more of our favorite things...

I will admit when we found out we were having a boy I was a little concerned about finding cute boy clothes. Problem solved! Mom and I found some of the cutest boy clothes I have ever seen! It will be so much more fun when we see Hudson in them, but until then here are some pictures:

Also, here is a picture of the quilt laid out. I love it!!!

We are getting there...

We are getting so close to Hudson's arrival! And things are really starting to come

together. I will post some pictures of the nursery later after we add some finishing touches. Trent put together the pack and play today. It is wonderful and fits perfectly in the corner of our room. This is great news because that means Hudson can stay close to us the first few weeks! Here is a picture of the pack and play (may not seem blog worthy, but it is exciting to us!).
