San Antonio Road Trip Day 3

We were able to get a late check out on our last day, so that we could enjoy a little more pool/beach time:

On our way out of town, we got to stop and see my sweet college roommate’s new baby girl!

Then we were able to stop for dinner at one of our favorite places with another sweet college roommate!

A lovely little getaway!

San Antonio Road Trip Day 2

The kids were up bright and early and ready to swim!

The resort had a great pool with a lazy river connected to it.  You could ride the lazy river to the coolest beach area.  Since the kids were dying for a beach trip this summer, this was a nice compromise!

After a rest, the kids had a carpet picnic dinner!

Then it was off to see what kind of adventures we could find.

One of the evening activities was a speaker from Sea World who brought some animals!  This was right up our animal loving kids alley.  They were the first ones there and got front row seats:

This picture is huge, but I had to include it. Hudson had so many questions and they were all such good ones! I love his inquisitive little mind:

They love their Nana!

Getting to pet a boa! (Whose kids are these??):

After the speaker, (and a good hand washing), it was s’mores time!

We headed back to the playground and Hudson made friends with some girls and played a little Frisbee!

You have got to love technology! The kids were able to facetime with Trent each night before bed:

San Antonio Road Trip Day 1

Mom and I decided to take a spontaneous  road trip with the kids to San Antonio.  We had such a good time!

We stopped at one of our favorite Austin restaurants on the way.  The kids had never been there, but I knew that they would love the water!

The traffic was pretty horrendous, so despite an early start, we didn’t make it to the hotel until about 6:30.  The kids wanted to dine al fresco:

The resort was very kid friendly. We hit up the playground first:

They had a movie on the lawn every night.  We grabbed a blanket and a seat:

However, the movie was Lilo and Stitch which is not a favorite of the Fletcher kids, so we went back to the room to watch some Disney before bed.

A sweet ending to a sweet day:

Hawaiian Falls with the Hookers

We had one last hurrah at HF with the Hookers, before Sophie went back to school. :(

These two decided to hide:
