First days at home...

These are out of order, but I am leaving them!
Sweet Fin loves her carseat:

Harper giving little sis some love:

Hudson too:

All dressed up for her first doctor's visit!

She was a tad bit jaundiced (but the only one of our kids that didn't need time under the lights. She spent a little time overnight in the nursery on the lights, but that turned out to be a mistake).  To get the jaundice out we gave her some sun time:

Coming Home...

We were finally discharged on Thursday. Finally, because it felt like we had been there forever and finally because it took hours to get discharged:

Hud was SO happy we were home:

Please notice how PUFFY I look here. More on that later:

Proudest big brother I know:

My 3 blessings:

He is a natural!

Trent's "Daddy" shirt

Trent has a shirt that he bought in college at Goodwill. It cost him .50 cents.  He wore it when Hudson was born and has worn it for every birth since then.  It says something like "Anyone can be a father, but it takes a real man to be a Daddy". It is SO faded. Anyway, I have a picture of him feeding all of our kids in it (I don't have the one of him feeding Harper in it on this computer but I will track it down and add it later).  It cracks me up!

My girls! I love this picture of Harper:

Fin and Harps could be twins:

Harper is a little intimidated about holding Finley, but we managed to get her to do this:

A rare shot with her eyes open:

It took me 3 babies to get one of these! Ha!

Hudson and Harper meet Finley :)

These two were super excited to meet their new baby sister. Hudson couldn't wait to get his hands on her:

His teacher showed the class this picture. Hudson is one proud big brother!

Finley's Birthday

We arrived at the hospital bright and early. Well, just early - sun wasn't up yet! We were there at 5 a.m. and taken back to triage.  We did all the pre-op stuff and then just waited. (Sidenote- the wonderful Meredith baby-sat the kids that morning so my mom would be able to be there! Such a blessing!).  Finally, it was time! Trent donned his gear for the operating room for the last time:

Finley was born at 7:57 a.m.  I had a dream the night before she was born that she weighed 11 pounds, so I was a little worried ;) (my doctor had a dream about Harper the night before!). The surgery itself went pretty smoothly. I did get sick and experienced a lot of nausea so it was more like Hudson's birth, rather than Harper's. But, it was all worth it! Before long she was out and at first we all thought she really might weigh 11 pounds!

She wasn't 11 pounds...but she was 8 lbs 15 oz.:
