Trent had a day trip to Midland and Harper was spending the night with my mom, so I got a date night with this sweet boy! We just extended the birthday week!

5th birthday!
The night before…all ready for our five year old:
I have wanted to do this every year, but have never gotten to because Hud has never gotten out of bed in the mornings until 2 months ago. So, this was the year! He didn’t quite know what to think or do:
He stepped over it, so I had him go back in and bust through it:
He did a little facetime with Daddy:
He wanted his usual for breakfast:
I kept Hud home from school and told him we could do whatever he wanted. He wanted to bounce, so off we went:
Mallie, Gates and Alan met us:
Off to a little CFA and carousel ride:
After bouncing a little more, we headed home for naps/rest. We had a very full day because that night was Hud’s first tball practice!
After a quick team meeting:
we passed out cupcakes to celebrate our big boy:
That night we did super quick baths and then it was present time!
We had such a fun day celebrating our BIG boy!!!!

The rest of Valentine’s Weekend…
Princess Pink Eye again…
Trent and I were able to sneak away for a Valentine’s dinner after the kids were in bed. Unfortunately, I came down with food poisoning the next day (and despite what Trent thinks it was NOT a stomach virus because A.) I have had a million stomach viruses and this was different and B.) No one else caught it). But, it was yummy at the time:
