Disney Day 1

I can't tell you how many times I heard "Y'all are brave", "are you crazy?", "you brought 3 kids and one is a baby to Disney??" during our Disney trip.

We wouldn't have it any other way.

Fin did AWESOME on her first fight! Slept most of the way!

Almost exactly six months ago, Hudson was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes. That weekend we made a promise to never let it hold him or our family back. This trip is one more way of fulfilling that promise:

Five months old!!!

Dear Fin,
You are FIVE months old!!! How did we ever live without you? I am just not sure. You complete our family in the perfect way. I can hardly remember life before you and I don't want to. You are the missing piece to our puzzle.

At five months, you eat around six bottles a day, six ounces at a time. You are (like your sister before you) a rock star sleeper. You sleep between 10 to 12 hours a night, take a bottle and sleep for a few more. We haven't started solids yet, but they are in the near future.

You are the happiest little thing. You burst out in smiles all the time. You are very content and laid back. You are most happy when I am holding you and I am JUST fine with that. :) You adore your big brother and sister and watch everything they do. You save your biggest smiles for them.

When you sleep, you have to hold on to something. It is the sweetest little quirk.

You still love your bouncy seat, activity mat and swing. You like the car seat, as long as the car is moving. You love the stroller.

We love you so much. We can't imagine a sweeter, more perfect baby girl.

Something I want to remember...

Fin has to hold something in order to sleep now that she isn't swaddled.  The first few weeks of her little life, she fell asleep every night holding my finger. Now every night when I check on her I find her like this:

Field Day!

Hudson had his first field day! I was a little nervous about it, I wasn't sure how diabetes was going to play out. Trent decided to take the day off, so we could manage it together.  WB does a great field day, but it is a long (and usually hot) day!

The kids bounced for 30 minutes and then had their snack time:

Tug of War! As it turns out, tug of war is extremely intense!  Hud's class won!

We skipped an event and used that time to go back to the class and cool off:

Hud and his AMAZING teacher. I love her and don't know what we would have done without her this year!

It was a GREAT day! Hud had FUN and diabetes played nice! What more could we ask for??

Mayfest!

My baby girl performed in her first Mayfest this year! I grew up dancing in Mayfest every year, so it was fun to watch her this year!

She has the cutest and sweetest little class! It has been a joy to watch this year!

On a Saturday, after soccer, we spent the afternoon at the Dallas Zoo. There was a dinosaur exhibit that I thought Hudson would like. Turned out he wasn't interested in the exhibit, but we still had fun!
