On day 6 we said our goodbyes (there were some tears) and began the first leg of the trip. Beautiful snow covered mountains in Flagstaff. This is definitely not my view from the Target parking lot, but here it is!
When you are road tripping with a baby, there are a LOT of stops!
We passed a very long Amazon Prime train!
There weren't many options for lunch and we wanted something quick, so we opted for a car picnic at Sonic. Fin got front row service:
The road stretched on (and on and on) before us:
I was trying to get a good shot of the moon, but it looks like the sun!
You gotta do what you gotta do with Type One! Pump was going out, so we did a quick pump change in a McD parking lot:
We ran into the problem of not being able to find dinner options again (seriously, there is a lot of undeveloped land between DFW and Prescott!). So, we ate IHOP in Clovis, NM. At 10:00 at night. It is a good thing we have flexible, easy going children:
You can't tell...but this is the Amazon prime train! I am wondering if it is the same one???
Our kids don't sleep in the car...but eventually they give in:
And what should happen when we get to the hotel...a pump failure. Awesome! Doesn't happen very often...but it is always fun in a hotel at midnight!
