The first week of January…

The first week of January proved to be bitterly cold, so we found some indoor activities to stay busy.

We kicked it off with a trip to the bounce house.  Harper got in for the first time! I think it is because one of her besties was with her:

Later in the week we road-tripped to Dallas to pick up the kids Grammy. After a yummy lunch:

we took a trip to build-a-bear:

Some intense Mario Kart games were played:

New Year’s Day

New Year’s Day was equally low key. In fact this was the only picture I took!  It was a pajama day (for 3/4 of us) and other than a rousing game of candyland, we didn’t do much!  All in all it was a perfect holiday!

Year in Review…

A really, really, really late year in review…

In January, we had a low-key month following a very busy Christmas season, but we got our birthday photo shoot in...

In February, my baby boy turned four...

In March, Hud began his sports career...

In April, we celebrated Easter and the H's continue to develop their sweet relationship...

In May, Hudson had sinus surgery and HARPER FINALLY WALKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In June, we kicked off our summer, did some swim lessons, VBC and road tripped to Omaha…

In July, we took a spontaneous trip to see friends in Indy...

In August, Harper continue to blow us away with her verbal skills...

In September, we took another magical trip to Disney and made memories to last a lifetime...

In October, Hud started a stellar soccer season and gave us quite a scare...

In November, baby girl turned 2!

In December, we made a return trip to GWL, had yet another surgery and and made lots of Christmas memories!!!

2012 was a wonderful year, full of blessings. We definitely had our trying times health wise (I think we hit a record of ER visits – I believe it was five…and of course, surgeries).  We are praying for a healthy and happy 2013!!!

The end of December…

The end of December was pretty low-key.  On the last Sunday of December, we abruptly changed plans and decided to play hooky from church.  My two crazy boys decided to brave the freezing temps and hit the zoo…this one was thrilled:

Over Christmas vacation, we visited our favorite painting place with some of our favorite friends!

Fletcher Family Extravaganza!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is one we call our Fletcher Family Extravaganza! We started it the first year that we were dating and have kept it alive all these years.  This year we didn’t get to do it before Christmas – thanks to the brutal strep that hit Harper. :( Luckily, Trent’s birthday falls the day after Christmas – we were able to continue our tradition and celebrate him at the same time!

We always start with dinner at Campisi’s:

After a delicious dinner, we head to Starbucks to grab some yummy treats.  Then it is off to gorgeous Highland Parks to look at the lights:
