I tried to have another photo shoot with Hudson today. (I am working on his birth announcement).

Weekend of Firsts!

Hudson had a weekend of firsts this weekend. He took his first trip to Nana and Papa's house. He napped really well while we were there and I was able to go and run some errands while he slept. Then Nana and Papa offered to keep him so Trent and I could go to dinner. It was such a treat for all of us!

Yesterday afternoon we had beautiful weather (for a little while). So, Trent and I took Hudson on his first walk. Much like the snow he wasn't all that impressed, but it was fun for us. We look forward to many more walks with him.
On another note we have discovered that Hud sleeps better with noise, kind of like his mommy. Saturday night we started playing classical music in his room instead of white noise. It seemed to do the trick, but the dj's voice coming through the monitor did freak me out a few times!

Hudson's First Snow!

The snow is really starting to come down. We didn't want to actually take him out in the cold so we attempted to take pictures from inside the house. Let's just say Hudson wasn't too impressed with the snow:

Two Week Check-Up

Today we took Hudson for his two week appointment. The goal is for newborns to be back at their birth weight at this point. Hudson is not only at his birth weight, he exceeded it! He is nine pounds and 22 1/4 inches. For the record, we don't think he grew 2 and 1/4 inches in 2 weeks, we believe he wasn't measured correctly at birth. He was most likely 21 inches and not 19 and 3/4 inches when he was born. The doctor said he is looking great! While the doctor was examining his ears, Hudson swatted his hand. I guess he didn't like having his ears checked out, we all got a good laugh out of it!



On another note we are expecting 3 to 5 inches of snow today! So, hopefully Hudson will see his first snowfall! (It did snow the other night, but it was dark and in the morning it was all melted).

Hudson is Two Weeks Old Today!

Hudson has had an eventful couple of days which is evident since he is sleeping in all of these pictures! I wanted to capture some of his funny arm motions that he makes while he is sleeping. We also had a visit from Wendy and Mike last night. Hudson loves visitors! Especially visitors that feed him! :) The bottom two pictures are of him warm and snuggly after his bath (which he hated again!!!).
