I have eaten a South Beach bar for breakfast for as long as I can remember. Hudson has decided he is over pancakes and anything else in the morning and only wants what Mommy is having. Cracks me up!
LynnAnn and I had our field trip today for our photography class. It was supposed to be last Sunday, but due to the foot of snow it was postponed until today. We went to the Botanical Gardens and it made me really excited to take pictures at Dallas Blooms this year in the Spring. Emphasis on SPRING. The Botanical Gardens in February doesn’t provide a ton of opportunities for beautiful pictures. Here are a few (out of the couple hundred) I took today:
Our sweet boy turned two yesterday! We had such a fun day together. It started out WAY too early! (Huddy is on an early morning kick lately – we are trying to fix that). Trent got Hudson up to get the day started!
(Sorry about the blue picture – Trent hasn’t been taking the photography class with us! :))
Then it was time for breakfast!
After some hugs for Daddy:
and Mommy:
My mom and I took Hudson to the children’s museum. We were hoping Trent would be able to join us for the day, but it wasn’t in the cards. So glad he was able to spend a little time in the morning with us though! We took off and met Mallie and Gates at the museum. I didn’t realize it was also going to be “Field Trip Friday!”. Good grief – there were 23 schools there on field trips…mass chaos!
After the museum we headed to Kincaid’s for a birthday lunch:
Hudson had some business to take care of:
It apparently involved Gates:
After lunch we headed home for Hudson’s nap. Which did not happen. I guess he was too excited about his birthday to sleep! We met Trent for dinner that night at our favorite birthday (or anytime) spot!
The mariachi’s came over to sing Happy Birthday to Hudson and he LOVED it! All the tables around us applauded afterwards and he ate that up as well.:)
We headed home for cake and presents.
Then it was time for cake!!! Well, in this case cupcakes…delicious either way!
A sweet end to our day celebrating our sweet boy. After that we put our worn out birthday boy to bed. We are looking forward to continuing the celebration in a couple of weeks at his birthday party!!!
This sweet little baby changed our lives forever…
My, my…what a difference two years makes
Love this boy so much!!!!
Massive birthday post coming soon…
