This was our Epcot day. Epcot is not a favorite of ours…there isn’t a ton for the kids to do and they are definitely not into the countries. However, in Norway there is a Princess lunch where I had made reservations. It is apparently very similar to the meal at Cinderella’s castle. Since Harper is so little (and Cinderella’s castle counts as two meal credits) we decided to do this Princess lunch this time and do the castle in a few years. Harper is surprisingly really into princesses already and since they are “real” people, I didn’t think she would freak out as much. Famous.last.words. Princess lunch = big fat fail. And I am grateful Trent was the voice of reason and we waited on the Cinderella’s castle meal.
Belle is waiting for you when you come into lunch. Your little princess is supposed to get her picture made with her. Ahem….
“Harper, why are you so scared of the pretty princesses?”
“Hudson, could you look up from your game for one minute?”
Cinderella was super sweet and Harper was super scared:
Hudson got into the act and dodged Snow White:
Ariel attempted to make small talk with Hud. He was afraid she was going to try to kiss him like Minnie. She assured him that she was married and wouldn’t kiss him. They shot spiderman webs at each other instead…unfortunately, I got zero pictures of that entertaining moment.
After that disastrous lunch (seriously…the place wasn’t very crowded but after a while the princesses full out avoided us. However, Harper did wave good-bye to Belle from a safe distance at the end. And she tells a whole long story of how she chatted it up with them. So.not.true.) we hit up Nemo (again) and Turtle Talk with Crush:
Then it was back to the Magic Kingdom (did I mention we do not care for Epcot?). Tomorrowland transit authority again:
This may be one of my favorite pictures ever:
It would not be a day at Disney without a thrill ride for Hud:
We caught the bus back to French Quarter and then walked back to our resort…it was a similar walk to one last year…just in reverse:
