We started planning this year’s trip to Disney in May. We have ended up turning this into our annual vacation, which is just fine with all of us. However, we didn’t let the kids know about the trip this time.
The morning of we surprised them:
My mom made them Mickey Mouse head cards and my sweet friend Lizabeth made them her awesome cookies:
My mom drove us to the airport:
The kids are seasoned pros by now:
Waiting for the Magical Express:
We stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside again. We are big fans of this resort. The rooms are great, we love the boat to Downtown Disney and the list goes on and on! It was a little more crowded this time around than we are used to, but we didn’t let that dampen our fun!
We made it!
When we walked into Magic Kingdom, the Dream show was happening in front of the castle. Harper was enthralled:
The kids love all of the fun things to play with while waiting on Winnie the Pooh (which was our second ride, we rode the tea cups first):
The line to meet Ariel wasn’t terribly long, so we decided to jump in with Harper. Ariel is currently her favorite princess, but I wasn’t sure how she would do with meeting her (or any of the characters). Meeting Ariel made her YEAR!
After Ariel, we headed to O’hana for dinner. We got there a little early, hoping to get seated a little early. We didn’t, but it was a good time to rest and relax a bit.
We asked for a table by the window so we could watch Wishes! They dim the lights and pipe in the music:
After participating in a few of the games (and sufficiently stuffing ourselves, the kids should have rolled us out instead of the coconuts), we headed out. A great end to a fantastic first day!
