Our last day came all too quickly. We kicked off the day with our traditional last meal – The Crystal Palace.
My sweet kiddos:
Coloring it up while waiting for the characters and breakfast:
Piglet was the first. Harper was surprisingly thrilled to see him:
Then Tigger came along and for whatever reason freaked Harper out. She wanted NO part of him. Hudson, of course, did:
Sweet Hud consoling his baby sister:
Winnie the Pooh came along and Harper was not going to interact with him either. But, Pooh was not going to take no for an answer:
He won her over. :)
This was as close to Tigger as we could get:
After breakfast, we bid the Fasbenders farewell:
Then it was off to Enchanted Tales with Belle. This turned out to be a highlight of our trip. This new attraction is an interactive storytime with Belle. Before you go in the room, they pick people to play different parts. Harper was picked to be a horse (and I couldn’t believe she said yes!) and Hud…Hud got to be the BEAST! He was SO excited!
The “cast” when in first and sat down on the ground, then Belle entered the room:
Harper was pumped to see Belle:
It was time for Harper’s grand entrance:
Then it was Hud’s turn. He was supposed to “roar” behind Belle:
Later he got to dance with her!
Taking a bow:
Each cast member got to pose for a picture with Belle:
It was SUCH a treat (and we got it on video). Hud told everyone he met the rest of the day that he got to be the Beast. :)
Most of the rest of my pictures from this day were iPhone pics. However, we were wrapping up our day with ice cream on Main Street:
when we found out our flight was cancelled. :( What followed was a mad dash and a very abrupt end to our vacation. I was sad that we missed out on a few things we had left to do (and most importantly – get Harper’s treat. Hud had already gotten his). Basically, we were told we had less than two hours to get to the airport, if we wanted to get out that day. Our bags were already at the airport (except for our carry on). We had to run to the bus, run through the resort, catch a taxi and race to the airport. Once there it took us FORTY FIVE minutes to get through security. Thankfully, our flight was delayed by 20 minutes and we made it just in time.
So, not the most magical ending, but still a magical trip!!!!
