We woke up to a very welcome surprise on Labor Day. A cool front! The weather was unbelievable…it actually felt like fall. It was such a welcome relief that I didn’t even care that it ruined our plans to go swimming. After the hottest summer ever (68 days of 100+…sixty.eight.days.), it was perfection.
While Trent finished painted, the kids and I went out to play. Someone didn’t want to stay on the blanket I laid out on the patio:
After some fun, we came in for naps. Later that day our families came over for a wonderful dinner. We did some more playing outside in the AWESOME weather:
And had a Mum Mum break on the patio:
What a perfect way to (unofficially) end the summer!!
