We hit the zoo with friends a few weeks ago. The zoo opens at 9 on Monday mornings in July for members. For Texas – it wasn’t that hot!
They have a fun new show in the new amphitheater that the kids loved (except when a bee swarmed them):
We stopped for lunch before going to Texas Wild. Hud and Ava were trying to “catch” a squirrel (really lasso it). Well, the squirrel wasn’t having it and let them know it! He got up on his back legs and started slowly walking towards us (and I promise it hissed). We decided not to aggravate it more and got out of there! As we crossed the bridge to Texas Wild we were laughing about that crazy squirrel – when it jumped up on the bridge rail, out of the trees, and just stared at us as we walked by! It was definitely a memory!!!
