Christmas Parade!

Tonight we went to the Christmas Parade of Lights with my parents and the Steffensruds. We had such a great time! We didn't stay for the whole thing because hunger and cold got to us, but we did stay long enough to see my mom's favorite the Elvi.
Hudson bundled up and ready to watch:

He didn't last too long in the stroller:

(What is going on with Hud in the above picture?? I don't know, but I have so few pics of the two of us together I am posting it anyway).

After we left the parade we went to dinner. That is where things really got exciting. Hudson is on all table foods now and eats what we eat for meals. He is a VERY busy boy and super inquisitive. The place we had dinner has blow-up characters hanging from the ceiling that Hudson loves to stare at. He also loves to store up food in his cheeks like a chipmunk. (Seriously, we found a piece of turkey in his mouth TWO HOURS after dinner at Thanksgiving). Anyway, these two habits are not a good combination. Our little one stuck a piece of hamburger in his mouth and promptly threw his head back to check out the characters. The piece (along with everything he had been storing) got lodged in his throat. I jumped up to dislodge it, but by the time I got there he had thrown himself forward and dislodged it along with EVERYTHING else. That's right, we had our first public throw up incident tonight. Awesome.
Immediately following this fun event he (happy as a clam again) was waving bye bye to his Aunt Bonnie. He then said "bye bye". Holly and I are both convinced that we heard it. That is our story and we are sticking to it!
P.S. I am so thankful to have Holly as a friend. How many friends do you have that will hold your nine month old who is covered in throw up while you and your husband clean him up? Not many I am guessing....

Yikes for Hudson! That kind of stuff scares me. The night before Thanksgiving, Henry choked on some cornbread and barfed in a similar fashion.

We were at the light parade last night, too! Wasn't it great?
