The snow day this week completely threw me off and I got out of order…so let’s backtrack. We finally thawed out last weekend and ventured over to the Hayes’ for their annual Super Bowl party. This year the Super Bowl was held in ARLINGTON (not Dallas, which is a major pet peeve of mine). It was so bizarre to have this huge sporting event going on in our vicinity. The events leading up to it were spread out among Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington. Unfortunately, the ice put quite a damper on the festivities. It would have been very interesting to see what all would have gone on if the Metroplex hadn’t shut down for a week. And unfortunately, thanks to the Great Ice Storm of 2011, I doubt we will see the Super Bowl again anytime soon.
Anyway, back to our Super Bowl party. We always enjoy meeting up with our friends for good food, fun and football!
