Baylor Play date

It has been entirely too long since Hud and I have taken a trip to Waco.  And Harper has never been there – which is a travesty in my mind. So, a few weeks ago we met Melissa, Jennifer and their kiddos down in Waco.  After lunch at our favorite restaurant, we headed to campus to let the kids burn off some steam.

The first place we headed was the Immortal Ten statue.  Back in the day, this was the site of the fountain.  They have since filled in the fountain and covered it with grass.  It was funny to me that they have built a new fountain right next to the old fountain.  This particular part of campus is near and dear to me since it is near the spot where Trent and I got engaged.  It is fun to see our kid(s) playing there now.

The three big kids playing on the statues:

Hud is very into playing dinosaur and chasing kids these days.  Not sure how into it the girls were, but they kept it up for a while:

We made our way over to Fountain Mall and let them play there (is it still called that despite the fact the original fountain is gone and fountain 2 is there, but in a different off-center spot?  Not sure):

Sweet Harper kicked back and enjoyed the view:

A pit stop at the bear pit. This was Hudson’s favorite part of the day. He kept calling them “my bears”.  He cried when we had to leave them and the rest of the week kept asking to go back to see the Baylor bears.

Such a fun day and one we will repeat VERY soon!
