Dear Harper,
You are 18 months old!! And really, could you get any sweeter? You are so precious to us all. You are still my sweet, laid-back baby. You go with the flow and are happy all of the time (even on days when you don’t get a nap because you won’t fall asleep in the car!).
You still won’t walk. You will hold my one fingernail and walk, but you won’t let go. You shake your head and say, “un- uh”. One day we will look back at this and laugh (fyi –that day is not today :)). We know that you are physically fine and basically just stubborn and too smart for your own good. My prayer (fervent prayer) is that God, daddy and I will shape that stubbornness to lead you wonderful places, as well as keep you very safe. That is the silver lining in all of this.
You are a little pickier than you used to be as far as eating goes. However, big brother is going through food bootcamp post-surgery, so by default you will be too. :) You still like almost all foods though, just a little hesitant to try new things.
You enjoy playing with your baby dolls, having tea parties, pushing your stroller everywhere and practicing walking. Your teddy bear (RG) goes everywhere with you and you sleep with it every night. You are in LOVE with your bop (paci).
I have lost count of how many words you have. You understand everything we say and can respond appropriately. Your ECI evaluation covered every aspect including speech and you scored on a 2 year old level which does not surprise me in the least. :) You are a chatter box like the rest of this family.
You love your bubba – and I pray you are always close.
You are the sweetest, cutest thing and you fill our lives with JOY.
Love you so much,
Mommy
